Once you're logged in to GlobalVision Web, the Dashboard displays, with each of the applications available to you displayed up top. 

The inspection modes appear in the following order:
(1), Graphics (2), Spelling (3), Braille (4), Barcode (5) and Notes (6). 

Clicking an inspection icon displays its file-loading page to begin the inspection process, regardless of where you are in the application. 

Clicking the GlobalVision Dashboard button (7) will return you back to the dashboard screen. 

Loading files and inspections

See the getting started section of each mode for more information and how to load files. 

Once an inspection is run, the file and report appears as a clickable item on the Dashboard under (8) Files or Reports, with the timestamp (9) of when it was first loaded or generated appearing beside it. 

The Status (10) indicates whether an inspection is "In Progress", has been successfully "Uploaded" or "Completed", or has "Failed". 

The maximum waiting time for a report to generate being 60 minutes. If your report could not be generated within 60 minutes, the system marks the report as “Failed”.

Managing Reports 

On the Dashboard, check a box on the far-right side and click Delete selected file(s) (11) to discard the reports you want to delete. 

A maximum of 100 reports can be stored at a time. When you try to perform the 101st inspection, the system notifies you that you must delete at least one report before continuing.

  • Click Upload the selected file to Notes (12) to load a copy of the selected report(s) in Notes
  • Click Download selected file(s) (13) to download a PDF copy of the selected report(s). Either option will prompt the Report Options window to appear. Before clicking Download Report, several options become available to you:

Report Options Breakdown

1. Selecting difference levels to include in the report

In the Report Options window, check the box next to the level(s) to be included. If none of the levels are selected, all of them will be included in the report.

2. Create annotated artwork file

Create annotated artwork file downloads the original artwork file with annotated differences to a PDF file. 

Annotations with the inspection results for the selected levels are automatically added to the file. The annotations that you see in the report are notes that are added to each difference. You can view them by clicking the red-numbered tag associated with each difference. If you have PDF-editing software, you can even edit the annotations by double-clicking the numbered tag.

3. Include Master file in the report

To include the Master image in the report click Include Master file. It is located at the bottom of the Report Options window when you click Download the PDF Report or Download selected files and is hidden when you click Create annotated artwork file. If you don't see Include the Master file, uncheck Create annotated artwork file.

4. Include Image Report
For text inspections, an additional option appears. To include thumbnails of embedded images that had been compared in the report, click Include Image Report.

5. Group Duplicate Spelling Errors
For spelling inspections, an additional option appears. To group duplicate differences in the report, click Group Duplicate Spelling Errors.

At any point in the Application, click on the chat icon (14) at the bottom-right corner of the screen to start a conversation with a GlobalVision technician to get a prompt answer to any question.
