Using partial Inspection/Selection tools helps users define specific portions of a loaded file to be verified in Spelling Inspection

1. Overprint

Clicking the Overprint icon displays a simulation of how blending and overprinting appear in the color-separated output, this however won't be applied during the inspection. Toggling Overprint also re-loads the files.

The default is toggled ON.

2. Show Inspectable Text

To verify what text in the loaded file can be inspected, click Show Inspectable Text. The inspectable text in the document gets underlined.

3. Crop

To crop the area to be verified during an inspection, click the Crop icon and drag the cursor. The selected area is surrounded by a red box.

This area can either be cleared by clicking on the border and selecting Delete, or it can be resized by clicking and dragging to adjust the borders.

Note: You cannot apply multiple crops on the same page but you can apply one crop per page of a multi-page document.

3.1. Auto Crop (Trim Box)

When a PDF file is uploaded, Spelling Inspection checks to see if a PDF trim box exists. If one is found, Spelling Inspection automatically draws a crop box around the trim area and only the region within the crop box is inspected hereafter.

In case, you try to add your own crop box without removing the auto-generated one, Spelling Inspection displays the message:

"Please remove the crop box on the document before proceeding."

To remove the auto-generated crop box, click Clear All on the toolbar or click on its border and select Delete.

4. Cross out Text

Cross out Text allows you to cross out text that should be excluded in the inspection.

Select Cross out Text on the toolbar and then click and drag the cursor to select the desired text. The text is crossed out in red

To undo selection, click the underlined text and select Delete in the menu that appears.

5. Underline Text

Underline Text lets you select text to be included in the inspection.

Select Underline Text on the toolbar and then click and drag the cursor to select the desired text. The text is underlined in green

To undo selection, click the underlined text and select Delete in the menu that appears.
